If you still want the convenience of landline service, NHMU has you covered with reliable locally backed phone service and optional short-term battery backup. Short-term battery backup also keeps your internet service online as well. With features like call-waiting, multiple lines, and call forwarding, NHMU telephone services have all the features you want.
NHMU Phone is a landline service, and that means any telephone that plugs into a phone jack will work. You can even keep your current phone number, as long as it begins with (641) 394-. If you purchase a phone with a screen, NHMU Phone will show who’s calling. New Hampton Municipal Utilities phone numbers will be published in phone directories unless you ask for an unpublished number, and all the typical services you expect, like “911” are included.
The optional battery backup will keep your phones operating for eight hours. Your phone must plug directly into a wall jack and not have a separate power line. The power comes through the wall jack, not an electrical outlet
